E.E. Bradman is a musician, editor, and writer born and educated in Florida; raised in ashrams in Tennessee, Los Angeles, and northern India; and molded in San Francisco and New York City. He was given the name "Shyamasundar Das" by his guru in honor of Krishna ("the Dark, Beautiful One") when he was six years old, and the title "Shree" was conferred upon him when he took his vows as a monk eight years later. The recipient of a B.S. in journalism with a minor in music from Florida A&M University in 1995, Bradman has worked as a copy editor for Rolling Stone, Vibe, Sony/BMG, Computer Shopper, Dunlop/MXR, the Miami Herald, the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, the City of New York, and GameSpot. His stories have appeared in Guitar World Acoustic and Premier Guitar magazines, and he has served as associate editor of Bass Player and editor-in-chief of Bass Guitar. Bradman is currently senior editor at Bass Player. As a bass player, drummer and/or percussionist, Bradman has worked with a long list of artists in a wide range of genres, including Wunmi, ALO, Jai Uttal, Hamid Drake, Donna De Lory, Gaura Vani, Karnamrta Dasi, Sparlha Swa, Rich Medina, Peter Whitehead, Maya Azucena, the San Francisco Mime Troupe, the New Pickle Circus, Kid Beyond, Suphala, Brass Monkey Brass Band, Susan Marshall and Company, and Village of Peace. He has been honored to perform at venues big and small, from Poland's Przystanek Woodstock, the biggest open-air festival in Europe, to New York's famous Blue Note.
